Emotional Freedom Technique – EFT Tapping
EFT Tapping or Emotional Freedom Technique is a method utilizing nine of the body’s energy meridian points. When an issue arises in therapy that has been particularly challenging I will coach you on how to release the psychological and emotional distress by using the fingertips to tap on these meridians while giving voice to the issue and using the breath. We will rate the distress before I take you through the process and afterward. Relief is often experienced in session, and I use muscle testing to confirm that energetic release has taken place.
My purpose as your therapist is to explore the emotional issues that might be underlying the presenting problems so you may have access to the long-term relief that EFT can offer. The techniques can help you improve how you feel about yourself and your life, get rid of limiting beliefs, and help you work through past traumas.
Advanced Integrative Therapy – AIT
Advanced Integrative Therapy or AIT purports that our mental and emotional issues originate in past hurtful experiences including not only traumatic events but also neglecting to have certain needs met at pivotal or formative stages of our lives. This can cause us to experience difficult negative emotions and give rise to negative beliefs about ourselves, negative behaviors, addictions, obsessions, compulsions, as well as blocking or hindering the development of positive qualities such as healthy self-esteem and the ability to form secure attachments and healthy intimate relationships.
When hurtful experiences occur negative energy can be imparted to a person along with feelings and thoughts. We know that the mind and body are interrelated. An example of this is the well-known fact that stress can cause many physical problems such as headaches and ulcers.
AIT is a therapy that integrates talk therapy with a method of moving negative energy out of the body. I am specially trained in the use of standard protocols utilizing the energy centers along the chakra system. We work to energetically clear the initiating issues, which include what you present within my office, the originating occurrences from the past, and the energetic connections between them. I use AIT to help my clients identify and resolve negative core beliefs and instill positive beliefs. In session, I coach my clients through these steps helping them experience immediate relief in the session and I teach them energy psychology techniques to use outside of the session if they wish.
